Every week we will be sharing an inspirational figure from Latin America, someone who we think you deserve to know about. Our aim is to spread the creativity and passion for their subject and hopefully inspire you as well ! This week we chose the  Brazilian photographer Ricardo Stuckert.

Riccardo Stuckert is a Brazilian photographer who has been working in the industry for nearly 30 years. He was the official presidential photographer for former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for all of his 8 year term, and this week shares some incredibly emotional and poignant images after Lula’s release from prison after a Supreme Court ruled he should be free until he exhausts all appeals. Stuckert has also worked with several Amazonian tribes, documenting their lives and traditions in a deeply personal and striking style and has won awards for his work with them.

“Photography is my life. It is the way I see the world, people, everything around me.”

(Ricardo Stuckert )
